Meet Janelle
Janelle Braverman is an Independent Educational Consultant and a Professional Member of Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). She is a former Ivy League college admissions officer. Upon graduating from Dartmouth College, she was invited to join the staff as an Assistant Director of Admissions, interviewing students and evaluating applications to the College. Janelle travelled to Florida, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica on behalf of Dartmouth, meeting school administrators and prospective Dartmouth College students. Janelle has been advising students professionally since 2011.
Since high school, Janelle has demonstrated achievement and leadership, evident through her engagement in athletics, student organizations, and community service. In her senior year she was recognized as the top Female Scholar Athlete in Miami-Dade County, an award presented by the Orange Bowl Foundation and Miami-Dade County Public Schools to one female student athlete per year. Among other school activities, Janelle was Class President and Miami-Dade County Student Government Association President. In recognition of her record of service to school and community she was selected as the Miami Herald Silver Knight Honorable Mention in the category of foreign languages. Janelle speaks English, Spanish and French.
As a college student she spent two terms in Madrid, Spain, the first as a student and the second as the teaching assistant for the Dartmouth study abroad program. She also studied in Paris, France both in college and during business school as an exchange student at HEC Paris. Janelle graduated from Dartmouth College with a double major in Psychology and Romance Languages (Spanish and French). She earned a Master of Science in Organizational and Social Psychology from the London School of Economics in the UK, a certificate from UC-Irvine in Independent Educational Consulting and a Master of Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
